Laura Robinson
Principal Analyst
Laura is the principal analyst at Robinson Insight. With over 25 years in technology industries, and 15 years in information security, she has developed deep expertise in information security and compliance. As an analytical thinker and skilled communicator, she has the ability to cut through complexity and make sense of emerging and multifaceted concepts.
Based on her competence, integrity, and high standards of excellence, Laura has gained the trust and confidence of senior security leaders. Since 2005, she has been the Program Director for the Executive Security Action Forum (ESAF), an association of CISOs from Fortune 500 companies and government. She was also Chair of the Security for Business Innovation Council (SBIC), an association of Global 1000 CISOs, from 2007 to 2014.
Prior to launching Robinson Insight, Laura held industry analyst, marketing, and management positions with technology companies as well as government agencies in North America, Europe and Asia. Her corporate experience includes RSA, Brooks Automation, Cygnus Business Media, Matrox, Mettler Toledo, and a division of Hewlett Packard.
Laura has spoken and written widely about information security and compliance. She has also authored or contributed to several seminal industry reports, as well as standards and best practice frameworks. Laura holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in economics and marketing.
